These are quick tutorials to help explain the process of setting up and distributing InvisionApp prototypes.

Prepare images for upload

If you are working from photos that are not the correct size and aspect ratio, you will need to crop them to prepare them for upload.

There are free image cropping tools included with Mac and Windows operating systems:

To keep organized, it helps to number your files. If you forgot an image and include it after the fact, you can use a decimal instead of renaming all of the files.

Set up a new iPhone project

To sign up for a free InVision account, go here: https://projects.invisionapp.com/d/signup

NOTE: Be sure to use your PSU email account.

  1. Create a Prototype Project
  2. Select an iPhone template
  3. Upload your cropped images.
  4. Set your hotspots so that you can click on areas of the image to simulate a functional app. You may need to watch InvisionApp tutorials to learn how to do this properly.

Downloading an offline prototype ZIP file

In the main navigation bar, click on the ellipsis button (three horizontal dots) and choose Export as offline prototype.

  1. On the project view, click on the share link on the top right.
  2. Create a public share link. Copy the link and share where necessary.
