This is a combination of the AIUL-CD license (Conceptual Development) and the MX modifier (Mixed Media).

Description: AI tools may be used for research and ideation, but the final work must be entirely student-generated.
What it means: you may use AI tools for research and idea generation, but the final work must be entirely your own. You must document any AI tools used in your process.
When to Use
- Students can benefit from AI-assisted research or ideation
- You want students to use AI for background knowledge or conceptual exploration
- Final execution should demonstrate the student's own technical abilities
Modifier: MX (Mixed Media)
Description: For assignments that span multiple media types

- Any combination of tools from other categories
- Integrative platforms that combine multiple media types
- AI project management and coordination tools
Considerations
- Mixed media projects may need different AI permissions for different components
- Consider whether to apply a single AIUL tag to the entire project or separate tags for each component
- Documentation becomes especially important to track AI usage across different media
- Integration and cohesion of elements may be more important than individual component creation
